EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT: A new YouTube update gives creators the opportunity to have their content AI-dubbed through the Studio dashboard.
While analyzing a few channels I'm working on, I unexpectedly noticed a new feature enabled. Instead of the usual “subtitles” button, it now says “languages.”
When you click on the “languages” button, you'll find a screen that allows you to add either human-generated audio tracks (a.k.a. manual dubbing) or AI-generated audio tracks.
But that’s not all.. When you try to create a track by clicking “get started,” you’ll be presented with two options:
Option 1: You can choose to refine before publishing, which allows you to fine-tune your translations by reviewing and editing the auto-generated transcript.
Option 2: You can choose to publish your video automatically, which publishes your translations automatically upon completion.
It seems that this feature is still in an alpha-like release, making it inaccessible to most creators for now. However, I'm reporting on this feature because I believe it’s an exciting update that will soon allow all creators to make their content accessible to audiences across the globe.

Disclaimer: YouTube doesn’t always announce these features to the public upon their initial conception, as there are still a lot of smaller tweaks needed to make it great for everyone to use. Also, I’m expecting this feature won’t be ready until at least sometime next year, but these smaller finds give us something to look forward to.
